Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Bed and Breakfast?

A Bed and Breakfast (B&B) is a private establishment that provides overnight accommodations to guests as well as breakfast the next morning. Glenn Meadow is a large family home with six guest rooms, each with private bathrooms, and a large breakfast/gathering room. Mark and Tracey, the proprietors, live on the property and can see to any special guest needs.

Is Glenn Meadow Bed and Breakfast Safe?

YES! Glenn Meadow complies with all local laws and regulations to ensure the safety of guests. Smoke detectors and clear exit signs are strategically located in all guest areas. We follow all local food safety laws including procedures and the hygienic operation and preparation of food. All our guest rooms have locking doors, and the entrance doors have keypads with codes issued to guests only. To accommodate guests’ special needs, we have taken steps to be intentionally child-friendly, provide secure outdoor areas and gathering spaces, and have widened our public area rooms and halls for the increased safety of those who use mobility devices.

Why Choose to Stay at a Bed and Breakfast?

The main advantage of a Bed and Breakfast over a hotel is the intimacy that is built into your stay. Guests at Glenn Meadow Bed and Breakfast can expect to meet other travelers, forge new friendships, and laugh around a table of good food. We offer knowledge of the surrounding area, provide good directions and suggestions, and cater to your specific needs.

Do Bed and Breakfasts Have Curfews?

Glenn Meadow is a family run Inn and the proprietors live on the property so there are no set curfews. Typically, the main entrance door is locked at 11 p.m. but guests have the key code. Remember other guests may choose to retire early, so late comings and goings should be done quietly so as to not intrude on the rest of other guests.

Can I Request Early Check in or a Late Check Out?

These changes to the standard policy may be arranged when the reservations are made. Please check out the policies  of Glenn Meadow Bed and Breakfast for additional information.

Can I Smoke in the B&B?

Please do not smoke anywhere on the property. Glenn Meadow B&B is smoke free, inside and outside. There is absolutely no smoking in the suites or common areas of the Inn. Due to seasonal conditions  of the grasslands and fields surrounding the B&B, the no smoking policy extends to the outside property as well.

Can I Eat In My Room?

At Glenn Meadow Bed and Breakfast you are welcome to bring outside snacks or drinks, but we ask that you consume them only on the outside patio/deck areas or in the kitchen and common areas.

Can You Meet Special Dietary Restrictions or Food Allergies?

Yes, we are happy to accommodate special dietary needs and have delicious options available for guests who have unique needs. To do so, it’s important we have advance notice so we can plan accordingly. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at least 48 hours prior to your check-in date or during the reservation process.

What Time is Breakfast Served?

Our fresh made, farm-to-table breakfast service begins at 9 a.m. in the upstairs dining room. Guests may opt to take their breakfast to the patio/deck areas as weather permits. With 24 hour notice, a delicious packaged breakfast option may also be arranged for mornings where you need to get up and go at earlier times.

Is Parking Included?

We have plenty of free guest parking available on the property and can accommodate bikes, canoes, and kayak storage near the barn.

Are Pets Allowed?

Well-behaved pets are welcome at the Inn. Pets should be kenneled when humans are away from the Inn. Also, I have two cats who roam the house and property (not the guest rooms or bathrooms!). If you have allergies, please call us about accommodations.

Is Glenn Meadow B&B a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ visitors?

We believe that everyone should be able to celebrate their identity in a loving and accepting environment. We have always been a safe and welcoming space for everyone, and we have a special place in our heart for LGBTQIA+ visitors.
