We offer spacious rooms, daily breakfast, and a variety of activities for pets of all shapes and sizes. Pets are welcome in our common areas and all around our property. For an extra comfortable stay, we have dedicated our most pet-friendly spaces:

• Auntie’s Room – Our most spacious ground-floor retreat features easy outdoor access perfect for your energetic pets.
• The Nest – A cozy, quiet upstairs haven offering a peaceful, relaxing getaway for you and your pet.
• The Wheeling Suite – A luxury multi-room suite providing plenty of open space for larger pets to roam comfortably.

Here are some top spots where your pets are welcome to enjoy the lakeshore:

• Warren Dunes State Park (Sawyer): Highly rated as one of the best pet-friendly beach destinations, this park features a massive designated dog beach. Pets are allowed to swim and play in the water north of the northernmost swim buoy, offering two and a half miles of open shoreline to explore.
• Grand Mere State Park (Stevensville): If you are looking for a more secluded vibe, this park offers a full mile of pet-friendly shoreline where your companions can swim in the Lake Michigan water. Keep in mind that it requires a moderately challenging half-mile to 3/4-mile hike over the sand dunes to reach the beach area.
• Hagar Beach (Coloma): A lovely coastal spot where pets are welcome right in the water. Accessing the shoreline requires walking down a wooden staircase of about 100 steps, and you’ll want to pack your own fresh water supply for your pet.
• Roadside Park (Coloma): Located just south of the county line, this smaller, quieter beach features a 0.3-mile trail leading from the parking lot down to the water. It is a beautiful, shaded spot that is excellent for a sunset walk with your pet.
• Weko Beach (Bridgman):  Weko Beach has a very specific rule regarding pets that is important: Pets are strictly prohibited on Weko Beach itself and in its waters at any time. The park features a designated boardwalk “pet trail” designed specifically to let visitors walk their pets through the area to access the adjacent, pet-friendly northern shoreline of Warren Dunes State Park.

Important Reminder: For the safety of your pets and other beachgoers, all of these state and local parks require your pets to remain on a standard 6-foot (or shorter) leash at all times, even while splashing in the water. Don’t forget to pack plenty of fresh drinking water, shade, and bags to clean up after them!
